Every learner is unique—and so is every path to success. My work is rooted in both lived experience and professional dedication, shaped by years in the classroom, formal training, and my journey as a parent to children with exceptionalities. I believe that with the right supports, collaboration, and access, all students can thrive. Below are the key areas in which I offer guidance, instruction, and advocacy—each grounded in research, compassion, and real-world experience.
I support students with learning challenges such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia by using structured, research-based interventions that align with each student’s cognitive profile. With over 13 years of classroom experience and multiple certifications in Special Education and Elementary Education across four states, I tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Whether I’m developing individualized programs or providing one-on-one tutoring, I focus on building academic skills, confidence, and independence through personalized strategies that work.

With both professional expertise and personal experience as a parent of children with Autism and PTSD, I offer a compassionate and practical approach to behavior and emotional needs. My Master’s degree focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders and special education law, and I’ve implemented Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) across various school settings. I collaborate with families and schools to ensure that behavior supports are trauma-informed, strengths-based, and inclusive of each child’s unique communication and sensory needs.

I collaborate with families and school teams to support students with speech and language impairments, ensuring their communication needs are understood and integrated into educational planning. I’ve supported students with expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language challenges through individualized supports, accommodations, and social skills instruction. With my ESOL and reading endorsements, I understand the intersection between language development and academic success and work to ensure that every student’s voice is heard and supported.

Creating accessible learning environments is at the heart of my work. I support students in accessing the general curriculum through purposeful accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology. As a certified educator in both general and special education—and as Director of Special Education at a private school—I guide teams in applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to build inclusive classrooms where every learner can engage, contribute, and thrive. I also serve on the board of 3DA, advocating for expanded access to assistive tech and equity in classroom participation.

I help families and educators understand special education assessments and use data to make informed decisions. From interpreting eligibility reports to tracking IEP goals and progress, I provide support that ensures data leads to meaningful outcomes. I also lead professional development on best practices in data collection and implementation. My goal is to make evaluation results accessible, understandable, and actionable—so every child receives the services and supports they need.

Advocating for students with disabilities is my life’s work. I guide families through the special education process with clarity and empathy—whether reviewing documents, preparing for IEP and 504 meetings, or supporting dispute resolution efforts. My training in special education law and certifications in multiple states allow me to navigate a wide range of scenarios, from early childhood through transition planning. I advocate firmly for students’ rights while fostering collaboration between families and schools to achieve positive, student-centered outcomes.
